I am not a Blort..or anything like that, I live on Earth and Have a realistic problem. No, my tamed Phunt didn't run away. I'm looking to address my state representatives and my senators, Alas, I am very young and am not sure about persuasive tactics.. any tips for a really worried teen? Please Help!!

First of all, let me say how proud I am to be conversing with such a responsible Earth teen! Here are a few persuasive tactics I have learned over my long life.

1. Be yourself! 2. Be informed about what you are speaking about. 3. Practice practice practice, your speech that is. 4. Use props, everyone likes them. They are more persuasive than words. 5. Use models, graphs, charts, etc, for a picture is worth a thousands words. 6. Talk slowly, pace yourself, use eye contact! 7. Be concise, less is more!

I found a Phunt. She says she ran away from home because she didn't like how mean the Phunts were. She says she really is a good Phunt,and asked me if I would keep her because now she has no family.Is it possible that some Phunts are good?

I should tell you not to keep the Phunt, but I have heard about you from Blitzy and Bootsy and they seem to think you could tame a Phunt. I have seen one good Phunt in my day, but that was years and years ago. I rarely tell anyone about that good Phunt for fear of someone thinking they can keep a Phunt as a pet. I think you are an exception to this rule, so please keep the Phunt and make a nice family for it. Remember to keep it fed every two hours or it might start to go berserk! Good luck!

There's this guy that I'm TRULY in LOVE with but he's nine years older than me! I really wanna go out with him, but he thinks of me just as a friend. Sometimes he doesn't talk to me, and I kinda give him clues about... you know. What should I do?

Wow, I know how it feels to be deeply in LOVE! I see no problem with the guy being nine years older than you, as long as you are at least 18 years old. Being a friend first is a great way to start a love relationship, for you know he already likes you as a person. Some guys need more than a clue, and your guy may need to be told EXACTLY how you feel. It is of course a risk, for once you tell him of your LOVE feelings towards him, he will either say he loves you back or he might feel awkward remaining your friend. It sounds like you really love him, so it is up to you to decide when and how and if your should tell him how you really feel. I wish I could tell you how he feels, but that is something I cannot do. I will tell you though, if he loves you too, you will feel foolish if you do not tell him how you feel. Please try to picture his face when you tell him, "I love you," and maybe your own intuition will let you know what to do. I am going to send you a big beam of good luck! My brother is a pain, but I still love him. He does things to annoy me and he's only 5 years old. Talking to him doesn't work, so how can I deal with this?

A five year old can be very demanding, but please know that he probably really looks up to you! The reason talking to him does not work , is because he enjoys it too much and it is his way of getting your attention. Maybe you could let him know that if stops annoying you, that you will play a game with him. Then stick to it, and he will learn to play by rules you can be happy with! I am not sure how old your are, but when you get older you will so glad that you have a brother! Good luck!

I`ve been going out with this guy for about 3 months, but although I love him, I find it hard to talk to him and look directly at him. What should I do?

I am wondering if you are shy, because that is OK and sort of cute! There is nothing wrong with taking it very slow, so you can warm up to him without feeling overwhelmed. I would suggest going to a movie or finding something to interest both of you, for that will give you something to talk about. Really nice guys are patient, so go at your own speed. I also get nervous at the strangest times, so you are not alone. Have fun!

My problem is that I don't think that people here on the planet earth care enough about each other. We seem to just care about ourselves and nobody else. This has led to a breakdown in society and many other problems such as racism, ageism and sexism. Please explain this to me.

You bring up a very important problem! All us Blorts are also concerned about earth, which is one reason why we have decided it is time for us to come to visit your planet. Part of the problem on earth is partly due the fact that people have forgotten what is really important in life, like helping others and keeping the planet in it's natural state. Earth people seem to want and want and want until they do not even know why they want it anymore. We Blorts share everything, and what makes us happy is the simple and free things in life. Words like racism, ageism and sexism do not exist on our planet, for we know that different races make life intersting, age equals wisdom, and sexism we just don't understand. Being shy is actually a good thing, for that means you are a sensitive and caring person. The best way to approach the guy you like is to find out what his interests are, and then you can strike up a conversation about something you know he likes. But you must remember to stay true to yourself, and not become what you think he wants just so he will like you. Also, remember to look at him as you talk and smile, and don't worry if your cheeks turn red. You will know if he likes you back by his smile, and if you have the courage, then ask him out for lunch or coffee or a movie or whatever you like to do. Good luck !

My pet Droppie will not sleep in his own bed, and insists on sleeping with me. He snores all night, and keeps me awake. If I put him outside, he whines. What can I do?

I would like to suggest the five minute rule. Just put your Droppie in his bed, and let him whine for five minutes. Then check on him. Then leave again and check on him in ten minutes, then fifteen, After two to three days your Droppie will happily sleep alone in his own bed. Good Luck!.

I must warn you that traveling near Phunt waters is dangerous for any Blort. I would suggest that you look into Fax Travel, for as you know, these are modern times. Gather as much information about Fax Travel as you can, and ask your dad again. You may find that he may want to join you.
